Stages of Translation

At VIVALANG, every project is managed according to a defined set of procedures to ensure the highest quality of translation. Our workflow is aligned with the EN ISO 17100:2015 standard, as outlined below:

Project Planning: The Project Manager selects the appropriate translators, proofreaders, and optimal tools, including the latest CAT, QA, and graphic design software.
Translation: The translator receives the project files, along with the TM translation memory, necessary reference materials (such as glossaries, style guides, and previous client translations). The translation is always performed by a translator with high qualifications and experience in the relevant field.
Forwarding: The Project Manager forwards the translated materials, including the TM translation memory, reference documents, glossary, previous client translations, and QA sheet, to the proofreader.
Individual review: The individual reviewer edits or reviews the translation, ensuring accuracy and consistency with the provided materials, QA sheet, and client guidelines. The reviewed text is then returned to the Project Manager.
DTP Processing: The DTP specialist handles the graphic processing to ensure the translation’s layout matches the original source files, maintaining consistency in text, fonts, and graphics.
Quality Assurance: The Quality Manager verifies that the translation meets the client's guidelines and adheres to the VIVALANG QA Model quality management system.

If necessary, each stage of the project can be customised to meet specific client needs. Individual reviewers and CAT tool specialists work closely with the Project Manager to ensure a smooth process, while DTP specialists ensure the final product meets all layout and design expectations.
